Brooklyn, New York – Georgia Binkle and Abel McFlyre had the perfect relationship. They were the envy of all their friends. The vegan couple had decided to live a simple life in Brooklyn, rejecting technologies and enjoying their local organic coffee shop and Quinoa bar. A fight about which Tennessee came first has change their relationship forever.
“Abel and I had always lived in harmony”, Georgia explains. “We have the same values, we despise the same things. Obviously, we refuse to use a Smartphone, Internet or Starbucks. We enjoy a humble life made of books, bikes and organic food. I never thought in a million years that we would be in the situation we are facing now”.
Indeed, during a discussion after their weekly visit of the MOMA, Abel mentioned the State of Tennessee being called after the writer. This is when things got sour.
“I corrected him”, Georgia says. “Tennessee Williams was named after the State. I thought this would be the end of the discussion but Abel got really angry. He said that I was controlling and vile. I was shocked! He was so sure that he was right! We couldn’t go to the library to check as it was closed so we went back to our loft”.
Georgia was hoping that the walk home would make them forget the incident. Unfortunately for her, she couldn’t have been more wrong.
“Once home, the discussion started again”, Georgia explains. “We didn’t have anything that would allow us to check so we fought for hours. It escalated so fast. We haven’t been talking since. I didn’t even have the motivation to go check at the library the next day. Because of the fight, I have been stuffing Kale chips down my throat and crying all day long. I can’t believe it all happened because we don’t use Internet!”
