Norway to Provide a Gun to Every Citizen Over 18

Oslo, Norway – Norway’s Prime Minister, Erna Solberg, has announced today that every Norvegian citizen over 18 years old will be provided with a gun for free. The decision comes after an American man pointed out that the country had seen a death by gun occur a week ago.

“An American man posted on Facebook that a murder by gun occurred in Norway last week”, Erna says. “He explained that countries with strict laws about guns also have murders using that weapon. That proves it’s not the solution. It was such a good point, I can’t find anything to answer to that”.

Norway, which has a rate of homicide by gun of 0.05 per 100 000 inhabitants, 64 times lower than the United States rate, will now allow everybody to carry their gun all the time. It will be legal for people to use it to defend themselves, their property or opinion.

“I don’t see why not”, Erna says. “That man is right, we also have gun violence. Only a good man with a gun can stop a bad man with a gun. We really hope to increase our citizens security with this new law. I am sure that more guns will lower the violence rate!”

In order to follow the United States steps on other matters, Norway will also suppress their Health Care and Social system.

“What could go wrong?”, Erna asks.
